Curb Cut & Driveway Approach Application

This Curb Cut & Driveway Approach Application is strictly for properties within the city limits of South Bend. This application is NOT a permit request. This application is soley a review of your request for a new curb cut or your request to change an existing approach's specs.

This application can be filled out by the home/property owner, an agent of the property, developer, design team, or contractor.

During construction season, apps are usually reviewed and processed within 2 to 5 business days.

Reminder: All approach and sidewalk work must be performed by a contractor that is bonded with the right-of-way permit office for occupancy and sidewalk. These bonds are separate from the bonds a contractor may have with the building department.

Please email rowpermitsoffice@southbendin.gov with any questions or to follow up on the status of your application. You can also email the permit office to request bond forms or a list of concrete contractors who have been bonded with our permit office in recent years.
