Fees: There is a $20 annual fee for a honey beekeeping permit. Fees may be paid in person with cash, check, or credit card. Fees may be paid by mail with check. Fees may also be paid by calling SBARC at 574-235-9303.

Describe Honeybee Hives

Only Apis Mellifera Species may be kept in the city. No more than two (2) active hives per parcel. (Sec. 5-53).
Reason for Application

Photo Submission

You are required to submit pictures of both the hive and location on property with your application.. Please let us know if you are going to come in-person to submit photos, otherwise you will be directed to upload them on this form.
Instead of submitting photos, I would like to request an in-person inspection by an Animal Welfare Officer
I will come in-person to submit pictures of my coop instead of submitting them online.
